Chris W. Potthoff is an associate attorney with the law firm of Reimer Dobrovolny & Karlson LLC. He has been with the firm since 2003. Mr. Potthoff concentrates his practice in the area of public sector labor law and police and fire pension law. Mr. Potthoff represents police officers and firefighters involved in disciplinary matters. Chris also has vast experience representing Unions in collective bargaining.

Chris has been an Adjunct Instructor at Lewis University where he taught a graduate level course in Public Sector Civil Liability. Mr. Potthoff was a police officer prior to joining Reimer Dobrovolny & Karlson LLC. Chris has served as a patrol officer, school resource officer, detective, and a member of a tactical response team. In 2008, Mr. Potthoff returned to police work where he currently serves as a detective assigned to a suburban high school.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Psychology, from the University of Illinois at Urbana.

Chris received his Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School in January of 2003. Mr. Potthoff is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
